Server Rules

Read and follow these rules to keep Ashes of Hope fun for everyone.

⚔️ Global Rules

  • AFK Clicking / Farming
    15 Day Ban → 30 Day Ban → Permanent Ban
    Players are NOT allowed to use any kind of clicking or scripting automation, including autoclickers, scripts, hot-keys, weighing down your keys, or any other unlisted modification. If a player does not respond during a staff investigation, they will be punished.
  • Asking / Sharing Personal Information
    Permanent Ban
    For player privacy, asking or sharing personal information of another person is strictly prohibited.
  • Ban / Mute Evasion
    Double the original punishment
    Evading a ban or mute using an alt account results in double the original punishment. For example, a 30-day ban becomes a 60-day ban.
  • Discrimination
    Permanent Ban
    Any form of racism or discrimination will not be tolerated. If you are caught using or building anything discriminatory, you will be permanently banned regardless of severity.
  • Exploitation of Bugs / Glitches
    Permanent Ban or Staff Discretion
    Exploiting major bugs or glitches will result in a permanent ban. If you find a bug, report it immediately via a ticket on the Discord. Failure to report may result in a ban at staff discretion.
  • Network Threats
    Permanent Ban
    Threatening the Ashes of Hope Network in any way — even jokingly (e.g. "I'm going to DDoS the server") — will result in a permanent ban.
  • Inappropriate Skins / Usernames / Builds
    1 Day Ban → 7 Day Ban → 30 Day Ban
    Using, building, or having an inappropriate skin, username, or build is prohibited and will result in the punishments listed above.
  • Sensitive Topics
    30 Day Ban → Permanent Ban
    Sensitive topics — including discussions of suicide, rape, sexual harassment, etc. — will not be tolerated. This also includes builds, names, and skins relating to these topics.
  • Griefing / Lag Machines
    Staff Discretion — repeated offences: Permanent IP Ban
    Griefing or creating lag machines (e.g. cobble monsters) is against the rules. Severity determines punishment. Repeated use of lag machines after a previous punishment will result in a permanent IP ban.
  • Use of Disallowed Modifications / Hacking
    14 Day Ban → 30 Day Ban → Permanent Ban
    Using any modification on the Disallowed Modifications list, or using a hacked client, is not allowed and will result in the punishments above. See the Modifications tab for details.
  • Alt Abuse / Maximum Limit
    7 Day Ban → 14 Day Ban → 30 Day Ban
    Maximum 3 alt accounts (4 total including main). Breaching this limit or exploiting alts can lead to punishments beyond this tier depending on severity.
  • IRL Scamming / Deals
    30 Day Ban → Permanent Ban
    Scamming involving real money or anything outside the server economy is strictly prohibited. In-game currency deals are allowed, but staff cannot moderate in-game currency scams.

💬 Chat Rules

  • Advertising
    Permanent Ban
    Advertising Minecraft server IPs, websites, social media, etc. will not be tolerated. You may advertise player shops and warps in-game and on Discord as long as it is not excessive.
  • Impersonation
    7 Day Ban → 14 Day Ban → 30 Day Ban
    Impersonating a staff member or another player is highly against the rules. Severity may also be up to staff discretion.
  • Respect All Players
    1 Day Mute → 7 Day Mute → 14 Day Mute (up to 30 days)
    All players must be respected regardless of Culture, Disability, Gender, Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation, etc. Staff may issue a higher mute of up to 30 days at their discretion.
  • Spam
    Warning → 30 Min Mute → 1 Hour Mute → ...
    Spamming — including chat spam, symbol spam, and caps spam — is strictly prohibited. Example: repeatedly sending "I love this server" counts as spam.
  • Swearing / Filter Bypass
    Warning → 30 Min Mute → 1 Hour Mute → ...
    Intentionally bypassing the in-game filter or using inappropriate language in public chat is against the rules. Words like hell, damn, crap, frick, "wtf", and "shi" are generally allowed.
  • Non-English Chat
    Warning → 30 Min Mute → 1 Hour Mute → ...
    Please speak English in public chat and Discord. In private messages, you may speak any language as long as the other player is okay with it.
  • Hackusating
    Warning → 30 Min Mute → 1 Hour Mute → ...
    Accusing another player of hacking without proper evidence is against the rules. If you have evidence, use /report in-game or open a report ticket on Discord.

🎮 Discord Rules

  • Abusing Tickets
    Warn → 14 Day Ban → 30 Day Ban
    Creating tickets with false claims or no valid reason will be punished under this rule.
  • Asking / Sharing Personal Information
    Permanent Ban
    For player privacy, asking or sharing personal information of another person is strictly prohibited.
  • Ban / Mute Evasion
    Double the original punishment
    Evading a ban or mute using an alt account results in double the original punishment.
  • Discrimination
    Permanent Ban
    Any form of racism or discrimination will result in a permanent ban, regardless of severity.
  • Harassment
    Warning / Staff Discretion
    Harassing any user is strictly prohibited. Excessive harassment may result in a mute or ban at staff discretion. A warning is required before further punishment unless harassment is excessive.
  • Inappropriate Screen Sharing
    Warning → Kick → 2 Day Ban
    Screen sharing any inappropriate media will be punished if a staff member deems the content inappropriate.
  • Inappropriate Suggestions
    Warning → Kick → 2 Day Ban
    Suggestions that have no relevance to the Discord or Network are against the rules.
  • Malicious Links
    Permanent Ban
    Sending malicious links will result in an immediate ban and the message will be deleted to protect other users.
  • Scamming
    Permanent Ban
    If someone is attempting to scam you through links, server invites, etc., please make a ticket or notify a staff member immediately.
  • Sensitive Topics
    30 Day Ban → Permanent Ban
    Topics including discussions of suicide, rape, sexual harassment, etc. will not be tolerated on Discord.
  • Threats
    Permanent Ban
    Threatening another user or the Network is not allowed. This includes DDoS threats and doxing threats.
  • Advertising
    Permanent Ban
    Advertising server IPs, websites, social media, etc. is not allowed. Player shop and warp advertising is permitted if not excessive.
  • Non-English Chat
    Warning → 30 Min Mute → 1 Hour Mute → ...
    Please speak English in public channels. Private messages in any language are fine as long as the other person agrees.
  • Impersonation
    7 Day Ban → 14 Day Ban → 30 Day Ban
    Impersonating a staff member or another player is against the rules and may be escalated at staff discretion.
  • Swearing
    Warning → 30 Min Mute → 1 Hour Mute → ...
    Swearing in the Discord server is against the rules. Words like hell, damn, crap, frick, "wtf", and "shi" are generally permitted.

    Spamming — including chat spam, symbol spam, and caps spam — is strictly prohibited on the Discord server.
⚠️ Disclaimer: Using any modification or client not listed in this document is done at your own discretion. If a staff member believes a modification provides an unfair advantage, you may be punished accordingly.

Mini-Maps (with restrictions)

  • Showing Sky Vaults is not allowed
  • Topography must be disabled
  • Cannot display cave systems

✅ Approved Clients

Lunar Client

Allowed — focuses on FPS improvements and game optimization for smoother gameplay.

Badlion Client

Allowed — bundles OptiFine and custom performance enhancements that significantly increase FPS.

LabyMod

Allowed — lets players manage mods, addons, and shaders directly in-game with performance improvements and customizable HUD elements.

If you believe another client should be approved, open a ticket in the Discord server for staff review.
